Cracking Open
The aromatherapy-recipe, Cracking Open is an excellent essential oil blend you can make and use for hard times of change. Ritual Anointing Blend, Cracking Open. The prayer of Cracking Open is to have our hearts crack open, allowing all fear, pain, and limiting beliefs to tumble out into the open where we can greet these energies with open eyes and open arms, and embrace all of these distorted aspects of self. Gather that very energy and cocoon it in the vibration of unconditional love and compassion, allowing their healing powers to weave their magic. Blood Elemi essential oil: This oil’s name in Arabic means as above as below. That is powerful in two ways in this blend. First, as you heal the microcosm within you, it immediately echoes out into the macrocosm with amplified energy. Second, this oil also speaks of communication within self -- emotional body to mental body, subconscious self to conscious self. This essential oil helps to facilitate all of self, working in harmony through clear understanding. Star Anise essential oil: The cosmic shape of this plant’s seed reveals its connection to spirit. In the signature of doctrines, it is taught that a bell- or chalice-shaped plants access the soul, whereas star-shaped plants speak to spirit. This is an interesting distinction. To access soul, one descends into self, but to access spirit, one rises out of self to unite with an energy greater than self. Star anise gives the gift of uniting with universal wisdom, compassion, beauty, understanding and love, that one can then anchor into one’s heart. The mixing part 
Stir this mixture with your right index finger, in a counter-clockwise motion. While reciting the poem above, ask for that deep wisdom to be made manifest in your blend and for your body to truly understand the prayer. Then read the properties given above of the botanicals, asking that they impart their wisdom to you. To use this Aromatherapy-Recipe: Apply this blend morning and night to your energetic heart center, to the soles of your feet, and to the crown of your head from Feb. 19 – Feb. 28.
